CASUAL POOL AND LEISURE OFFICER

McKinlay Shire Council is seeking an active and enthusiastic person to take on the role of Casual Pool and Leisure Officer.

This Julia Creek based position will initially be 2 days per week, with the possibility of extending those hours after the completion of the Julia Creek Participation Space. Council requires an individual to provide pool management relief and assistance towards the provision of sports and recreational activities to community members.

COMMUNITY HEALTH NURSE

McKinlay Shire Council is offering an outstanding, rural based opportunity to demonstrate
diversity in the nursing field and make a real difference to the lives of others.

Applications are invited from suitably qualified candidates for the position of Community Health Nurse. This unique position is situated in Julia Creek and provides for a dynamic and practical role in the delivery of community health along with the development of health promotion programs and events. Nursing Registration qualifications and/or registration with the appropriate registration
authority is required. Experience in aged care and/or child health is considered favourable.

CASUAL GRADER OPERATOR

If you’re a motivated person who has a current Grader ticket and Construction Induction Card, with a preferred minimum of two years experience operating a grader, and can demonstrate the skills to mix and lay gravel to Main Roads standard, this position may be ideal for you. The successful applicant will be required to undertake road construction, maintenance and associated duties within the operations of Council’s Works Department.

WORKSHOP SUPERVISOR

This full time, contract position of Workshop Supervisor requires a proactive person to maintain, service and repair Council’s tools, plant & equipment. This position will include workshop administration duties such as vehicle and machinery registrations, servicing schedules, requisitioning of all parts and stock required and regular reporting to the Works Manager.
