CASUAL LIBRARIAN/TOURISM OFFICER (MCKINLAY)

McKinlay Shire Council is seeking a motivated and reliable person to operate the McKinlay Library and McKinlay Centenary Museum. The position will be based in the small township of McKinlay and opening hours will be from 10am—2pm every Thursday, plus additional hours between April—September.

The suitable applicant will be enthusiastic, have good organisational and communication skills and the ability to work unsupervised.  The selection panel is seeking an individual who has a current first aid certificate and has a sound knowledge, or is willing to develop an understanding of the McKinlay Shire and it’s history.

ADMINISTRATION OFFICER - RECEPTION

McKinlay Shire Council is seeking an obliging and enthusiastic person for the full time role of Administration Officer at Council’s reception office.

We’re seeking a motivated person with excellent interpersonal skills, who can demonstrate the ability to communicate with all members of the community. This position will be the first point of contact for visitors to the Council office and is designed to undertake general administration duties including responding to incoming correspondence via telephone and email, processing of daily mail, and providing administrative secretarial support as required to administration staff.

ASSET MAINTENANCE OFFICER

McKinlay Shire Council is seeking to employ a versatile individual for the full time role of Asset Maintenance Officer to work within the Shire. This position aims to carry out proactive and reactive maintenance and associated construction based works on Council assets including but not limited to buildings and water and sewerage infrastructure.

Applications are encouraged from trade qualified individuals, or those who demonstrate equivalent skill sets in Building/Carpentry, Plumbing or Electrical trade areas. Qualifications in water and sewerage treatment plant operation and maintenance, or the ability to acquire would be favourable but not essential.  Applicants must hold a current Queensland C class drivers licence and currently have, or be willing to obtain 30215 QLD – Course in general safety induction (construction industry card).
